Getting the right fit matters — a harness or jacket that's too loose can slip off, and one that's too tight can chafe. Here's how to measure your dog at home.
How to measure
- Neck: Wrap a soft tape measure around the base of your dog's neck, where a collar would sit. Add 2 fingers' width of slack.
- Chest (girth): Wrap the tape around the widest part of your dog's rib cage, just behind the front legs.
- Length: Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (most useful for jackets).
When in doubt, size up — most of our gear has adjustable straps for a closer fit.

Note: these are general starting ranges — double-check against your product spec sheets, since fit can vary style to style.
Dog boots sizing
Measure the width of your dog's paw at its widest point while standing (not while lifted). Round up if between sizes — boots that pinch will get pawed off within a block.
